Ufa is the administrative capital of the Russian Federation. It’s located on the river banks of the Belaya (White) River, on the left bank of which the Ural mountains and the golden gate were built. At the time of the Mongolian occupation, their biggest city was also located here, Bashnarkh. Ufa is a major junction for the caravan trade. Its harbour is the biggest in all of Asia.
